Dr.
El Messiri holds a BA in sociology and a MA in Anthropology from the American
University in Cairo(AUC) and a phD in social Anthropology from Hull University
England. Dr. El Messiri has more than 30 years of experience in consultancy as
a senior social anthropologist, she provides technical assistance in the area
of visual impairment, gender & development, community development. Dr. El
Messiri monitored and evaluated women in development projects, upgrading
projects, credit programs and community development programs and Comprehensive
Integrated Eye Service Program for Visually Impaired Children. Moreover, Dr. El
Messiri Participated in a number of international missions for project formulation,
impact evaluation and research.
In
addition Dr. El Messiri assisted a number of Egyptian Ministries and Arab
institutions in establishing their Gender Unit and acted as a consultant and
Gender trainer for these national machineries in mainstreaming gender issues.
She Acted as a consultant to major organizations such as FAO, UNICEF, UNDP and
ILO. Dr. El missir. Dr. El Messiri has major publications in international
journals, most notably her book Ibn Al Balad: A concept of Egyptian Identity,
Leiden, E.J. Brill, 1978.
Dr.
Ahmed Taher
Dr.
Taher has taught marketing at The University of Georgia, Offenburg
University in Germany and The American University in Cairo since 1991, and
won the excellence in teaching Award from the University of Georgia in
1995, and from the AUC in 2005/2006. He taught
many undergraduate courses including Marketing Research, Consumer
Behavior, Advertising and Promotion Management, International
Marketing, Sales Management, Public Relations. He also taught the MBA
courses: Business Development, Marketing Channels, Marketing Strategy,
Retailing Management, Sales Management, and International Marketing. He
has also developed and delivered hundreds of marketing training
courses of all types and levels.
Dr. Taher has published several articles in the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Product and Brand Management, among others. He wrote 2 books one called: Pharmaceutical Marketing and another called Business Development. He also translated 3 masterpieces of Peter Fisk: Marketing Genius, Customer Genius, and Creative Genius. Dr. Taher supervised more than 20 doctoral and master dissertations in the Netherlands. Finally, Dr. Taher is a professional public speaker who also serves on the boards of more than 10 successful local businesses and charity organizations.
He holds a BSc. in Civil Engineering from Cairo University, an MBA from the Ohio State University, a Diploma in Book and Magazine Publishing from New York University, and a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Georgia.
Dr. Mostafa El Cherbini
Dr.
El-Cherbini graduated with a MB from the faculty of Medicine in 1982. Dr. El-Cherbini
completed a French Fellowship of Ophthalmology in 1990. In addition he
completed a postgraduate clinical fellowship from Johns Hopkins University in
1993. Dr. El-Cherbini was assigned as an expert for the Pediatric Ophthalmology
in the Egyptian National Eye Center in Rod El Farag.
Dr.El-Cherbini held a number of different positions locally and internationally. He worked as a the chief of the department of Pediatric, Ocular Motility & Genetic Ophthalmology at Magrabi Eye Hospital in Jadda from 1993 until 2000 and assumed the same position from 2000 until 2004 in Cairo, Egypt. Some of the many achievements of Dr. El-Cherbini is the establishment of the Pediatric Ophthalmology Department in El Magrabi Eye Centers in Abu-Dhabi, Cairo, Egypt, Dammam and MaMs.Gamea El Menawara in Saudia Arabia. In addition,
Dr.
El-Cherbini established a screening program for school children and applied it
to several schools in Jeddah, SA. Dr. El Cherbini is a member of many renowned
international organizations in Ophthalmology such as the American Academy of
Ophthalmology (AAO), International Society of Strabismology, American
Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology Society, French Society of
Ophthalmology, Egyptian Ophthalmological Society( EOS), among others. Currently
Dr. El Cherbini runs a private Ophthalmology centre.
MS. Dina A. Gamea
Ms.Gamea
has over 12 years of experience in the finance industry mostly on the
buy-side. She has joined Paradise
Capital (PC) in 2012 and is currently the company’s Investment Director in
charge of overseeing current direct investments; studying potential business
ideas and proposals; as well as manage the group’s legal and corporate
affairs. Prior to PC, Ms.Gamea worked
for over four years with the Egypt office of Concord International Investments,
an SEC registered company that is among the first and most reputable Asset
Managers in Egypt. Ms.Gamea was in
charge of Construction and Building Materials industries at Concord. She has had exposure with the government as
well working for one year with the Egyptian General Authority for Investments
& Free Zones (GAFI) in a team that was responsible for developing Egypt’s
first "Investor Information System" in cooperation and under the
supervision of the World Bank’s MIGA Group and that directly reported to Dr.
Ziad Bahaa El-Din. Ms. Gamea holds a
BSc. in Economics from Cairo University and has attended a number of trainings
and programs in Investment Promotion; Private Equity; Shariaa Compliance; and
Asset Management. In 2015, Ms.Gamea was
selected by the US State Department to take part in the prestigious Fortune -
US State Department Global Women Mentorship Program where she was mentored by
Deanna Mulligan, CEO and Chairman of Guardian Life Insurance – a Fortune 300
and a 150 years old company.
Ms.
Doaa Mabrouk
In
partnership with her mother Dr. Sawsan El Messiri, Ms. Mabrouk founded Baseera
foundation for people with visual impairment in 2004 and has been serving as
the director of the organization since its establishment. Ms. Mabrouk is a
board member of the National Council of Disabilities Ms. Mabrouk has 25 years
of experience in field of enhancing the lives of people with visual impairment.
Her interest and study in the field started
when she had a blind child in 1987. Ms.
Mabrouk continued a post-graduate diploma in orientation and mobility in 1994 from
the University of Mohawak from Canada. Ms. Mabrouk participated in many
international associations that serve the visually impaired and defend their
rights, she has worked in the field of visual impairment in the Canadian "
National Foundation for the Blind" CNIB
and has been a guest speaker in many international conferences for the
visually impaired. Ms. Mabrouk took part in writing major publications about
people with visual impairment, most notably a book to raise people's awareness
about visual disability that was published by the UNICIF.
Ms. Mabrouk has initiated many programs and projects that serve the visually impaired in collaboration with government entities, international, regional, and local partners. In addition, she has helped many children to be well integrated in society and in mainstream education.
Mr.Mohamed Farid
Mohamed works as a sales manager at Varsity Tutors, in the USA, prior to which he was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company based out of Dubai, and as a software developer at several companies in the USA and Canada. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BSc. In Systems Design Engineering. From the University of Waterloo. Mohamed is visually impaired, and in December 2015, Mohamed was honored by the President of Egypt for his accomplishment representing the visually impaired. |
